Welcome to Loyola University's chapter of Delta Delta Epsilon-Beta Alpha!

As we embark on the upcoming semester, the Chapter is looking forward to collaborating with its members through various exciting events and opportunities. The Loyola Community is honored to launch its first Chapter of Delta Delta Epsilon and we are eager to see this Chapter flourish in these early stages of development. We encourage all those academically motivated and interested in forensic science to apply for membership in this Society!

Mission
Delta Delta Epsilon (DDE) is an international forensic science honor society that is dedicated to stimulating academic achievement, promoting community understanding, and advancing the fields of forensic science.
New Members Requirements
The Society is a membership cooperation, with Active Members and Honorary Members
set forth below. Unless otherwise designated, all references to meetings or Members
and other related provisions within this Article shall apply to both Active and Honorary
Members. Undergraduate, Graduate, or Professional members shall be active members
of the Society.
Individuals shall meet the following minimum criteria for membership in the Beta Alpha
Chapter at Loyola University Maryland.
Undergraduate Members
Undergraduate members shall be students enrolled in the Forensic Studies undergraduate degree program at Loyola University Maryland. In addition, Undergraduate members must also satisfy the following:
- Shall be enrolled in or recently graduated from the Forensic Studies undergraduate degree program. This does not include undergraduate students receiving a minor in forensic studies.
- Have completed at least 37.5 percent of the total hours/credits required for the forensic science degree. This equates to 45 credits within the forensic studies degree.
- Have a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and rank in the top 35% of their class. Class rank is based on all forensic studies majors within the catalogue year for the student. This will be determined by the Chapter Advisory Board.
- Shall have completed at least 2 forensic studies electives that are science courses (200-level or higher).
- Have not received a failure grade (a grade of F) in any class within the major.
Graduate Members
Graduate members shall be students enrolled in a graduate forensic science program at Loyola University Maryland. In addition, Graduate members must also satisfy the following:
- Shall be enrolled in or recently graduated from a graduate program in Forensic Science.
- Have completed 12 semester hours of graduate work or one full- term equivalency for one academic term used by the institution.
- Have a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.
Professional Members
Alumni of collegiate chapters may become professional members if they meet the above criteria and elected to professional membership by the Chapter.
