Education 

Jennifer Beard, holds Bachelor of Art and Master of Science from Loyola University Maryland in 1994 and 1997  

Areas of Specialization

Working within pediatric population, specifically phonological, articulation, language and social language disorders. I also have extensive experience working with those within the autism population, pediatrics through adults.  

Previous Experience

Jen has been practicing speech language pathology for 26 years. Heer work as a clinical faculty member at the Loyola Clinical Centers includes supervising graduate level students within their first year clinical rotation. At this position, she supervises students providing services in a group and individual basis. She began her higher education career at Towson University in 2016 and has since joined the Loyola University Maryland community in May of 2023.  

From 2009 to 2016, Jen was a speech-language pathologist at the St. Elizabeth School (SES). She treated individuals from 12 to 21 years of age that were on the autism spectrum. Prior to SEs, she practiced speech pathology at the Hearing and Speech Agency in Baltimore City, specifically at the Scottish Rite Speech and Language Center, where she served as the clinic coordinator.  

About Jennifer Beard

Jen continues to collaborate with her Loyola colleagues in leading trainings in speech, language, and literacy development of young children to her clinical graduate students. She lives in Ruxton Maryland with her husband, Jonathan (LUMD 94’) and her two children, Kylie and CJ.
