The Loyola University Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences Department through the Loyola Clinical Centers will be conducting group articulation therapy and reading readiness skills groups. Services will be provided by graduate speech-language pathology clinicians under the supervision of a licensed and certified speech-language pathologist.

Reading Readiness Skills Tuesdays 9:30-12:00 Thursdays 9:30-12:00
Articulation Group Therapy Tuesdays 1:15- 3:15 Thursdays 1:15-3:15

Reading Readiness Skills

Reading Readiness Skills will address the following skills:  blending sounds, segmenting (isolating individual sounds within a word), sequencing/manipulating sounds, and sound/letter association.

Ages:  Students entering Kindergarten – third grade (groups of 2-3)

Articulation Therapy 

Articulation Therapy will focus on the following error sounds: s, r, sh, ch & l. The students will receive individual and group therapy (2-3 students) and will be grouped according to age/grade.

Ages:  Students entering Kindergarten – 8th grade

Dates: May 30 & May 31 program screening at St. Mark School

How to register

Please call 410-617-1200 to register for either the Reading Readiness skills group &/or the Articulation Therapy program by May 5th. You will be contacted by May 22 to schedule the initial screening to be held at St. Mark. Space is limited.
