Dr. Robert Hawkins Memorial Scholarship

Description: We are pleased to announce that in the coming year, there will be ONE $2,000.00 and ONE $1,000.00 scholarship awarded to the winners. Endowed by Betty Jo and Kathy Schmidt in memory of Dr. Robert Hawkins and in honor of Kathryn Morris Hawkins, and donated by Bradford Hawkins, the youngest of Dr. Hawkins' five children. Interface Scholarships - Tech for Good Scholarship

Description: The Interface “Tech for Good” scholarship offers assistance to eligible students pursuing any four-year technology-related program from an accredited university in the United States.

 

GreenPal Business Scholarship

  • Amount: $2,000
  • Deadline: November 15, 2023

Description: The purpose of The GreenPal Small Business Scholarship is to assist a motivated, driven student and future business leader. We believe that the generation of today's students are the future employers of tomorrow. The future of our county will be forged by the entrepreneurial spirit of today's generation. If you currently run a small business while attending college or have a small business idea to start while you plan to attend college, visit the scholarship provider’s website for the instructions and criteria for applying for the GreenPal scholarship.

ACES Scholarships

  • Amount: Varies
  • Deadline: November 15, 2023

Description: Six scholarships are awarded annually through the ACES Education Fund. One is the Bill Walsh scholarship, in honor of the late editor, author, and ACES guiding spirit. The winner — a student who demonstrates excellence in the editing of news — receives $3,500 plus financial aid to attend the ACES national conference. The other five ACES scholarships are awarded to students who excel in critical thinking about written materials in any field and aspire to a career involving editing. Four of these winners each receive $1,500, and $2,500 will go to the student chosen as the Aubespin scholar. All five winners also are eligible for aid to attend the ACES conference. The generosity of donors enables all of these awards.

James Alan Cox Foundation for Student Photojournalists

  • Amount: $2,500
  • Deadline: November 15, 2023

Description: Focus of work and entries: PHOTOJOURNALISM. Scholarships will be awarded to those students whose work “tells a story”. This is a fairly broad topic and may include a variety of subject matter and approaches (breaking news, sporting events, etc.)  Please keep in mind that, for the still photography submissions, we are NOT looking for “art” photography.

10 Words or Less Scholarship

Sahara Hope Scholarship for Women Empowered to Change the World

  • Amount: Varies

Description: Write an essay of up to 1,500 words (500 words recommended) on Why You Deserve This Scholarship.

Future of Connectivity Essay Scholarship

  • Amount: $2,500
  • Deadline: November 15, 2023

Description: Zipit Wireless ("Zipit") looks forward to awarding a $2,500 scholarship to a college undergraduate or graduate student who sees the world for what it can be and envisions how the future of connectivity can make that world a reality. Zipit delivers cloud-based software and cellular services for Internet of Things (IoT) products, enabling the solutions and business models of tomorrow. Explain in a 1,000-word essay how you envision Internet-enabled devices and increased connectivity impacting people's lives or changing industries.
