Loyola University’s Examen Retreat is a silent weekend retreat in the spiritual tradition of St. Ignatius Loyola.
Often called the quintessential Ignatian prayer, the Daily Examen is a priceless tool of self-awareness and a crucial aid to discernment. Ignatius was convinced that even a few minutes of prayerful reflection on the events of one’s day could open our eyes to the action of God in our daily lives – and open our hearts to respond in humility and gratitude.
The retreat will “break open” the elements of the Examen prayer through a series of guided reflections, periods of quiet personal prayer and daily spiritual conversation with a retreat chaplain.
This retreat, in the Christian and Catholic tradition, is open to Loyola faculty and staff, alumni, graduate and undergraduate students of all faith traditions.
Retreat Registrations will launch on Weds. Sept. 18th at 12pm. All registrations before that date are not valid.
