The Baltipreneurs Institute is the heart of the Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship, where Loyola’s social justice mission is brought to life in Baltimore’s startup and social venture networks. Through this initiative, we will be providing consulting at pro bono (free) and lo bono (sliding scale) rates to local social ventures. There will be opportunities for volunteering in the community, as well as programs to bring youth on campus for coding and STEAM classes and workshops.
Faculty will continue conducting ground-breaking research on topics from women’s entrepreneurship, to the social impacts of minimum wage legislation, to employment for ex-offenders. We partner with the Center for Community Service and Justice to offer micro-loans and business services to York Road businesses in our community, and with other innovation and entrepreneurship leaders in the city on an emerging initiative to increase access to capital for Baltimore entrepreneurs, and fight poverty by creating more opportunity.
