Loyola University Maryland's School of Education is launching the Institute for Urban Catholic Education (IUCE) within the Center for Innovation in Urban Education with funding from the Raskob Foundation and Archdiocese of Baltimore. The IUCE will strengthen our partnership with high-need urban Catholic schools; develop a model of excellence for future partnerships; and disseminate scholarship on effective teaching and leadership, locally and nationally.
IUCE is currently collaborating with four community Catholic schools in Baltimore:
The Center for Innovation in Urban Education's Institute for Urban Catholic Education (IUCE) held it's annual professional development day on October 16, 2015. The professional development workshops on classroom strategies and supports in diverse areas included the following:

- From Stress to Resilience: Why our children struggle and helping them succeed
