Summer 2018 at St. Mark School

The Loyola University Speech-Language-Hearing Department through the Loyola Clinical Centers will be conducting group articulation therapy and reading readiness skills groups. Services will be provided by graduate speech-language pathology clinicians under the supervision of a licensed and certified speech-language pathologist.

Reading Readiness Skills

This service will address blending sounds, segmenting (isolating individual sounds within a word), sequencing/manipulating sounds, and sound/letter association.

  • For students entering Kindergarten through third grade (groups of 2-3)
  • Wednesdays: 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Articulation Therapy

This service area will focus on the following error sounds: s, r, sh, ch, th, & l. The students will receive individual and group therapy (2-3 students) and will be grouped according to age/grade/sound errors.

  • For students entering Kindergarten through 6th grade
  • Wednesdays: 1:15 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.


Both programs begin June 20 to July 25, but a program screening will be held on May 30 & 31 at the St. Mark School.
