Is there an admission fee?
There is no admission fee, but Baugher's has us each pay for a container that you put your picked fruit in once we get there. There are three container sizes: the smallest (1/2 peck, 4 qts.) is $10.
They also have an optional wagon ride out to the field for $3.
Can I bring guests who are not Loyola students to this event?
Absolutely! Students are welcome to bring guests / family members / friends to this event. Just no pets in the field!
Where can I find the group upon my arrival to the farm?
We will be meeting at the entrance to the farm market at Noon. Watch for someone wearing Loyola gear! We will wait for 10 minutes, but will start over to get our tickets at 12:10 to respect everyone's time.
I'm not sure I can go. Do I have to RSVP?
No, you can just show up, but providing your contact info allows us to send you an update if there are any unexpected changes in plan.
What if the weather is a little iffy?
If it is rainy, we will reschedule to the following Saturday, October 2nd. We will write to everyone who RSVPed to confirm the 10/2 date if we must reschedule.
What kinds of apples are we picking?
Baugher's has a frequently-updated Pick Your Own Hotline at 410-857-0111 which you can call. Otherwise, we'll just find out when we get there!
Is there anything else to do?
Yes, there will be vendors there with apple cider, apple cider donuts, local produce, and fall items! Pumpkins will also be available.
