Game Night FAQs

What will we do at this event?

We're playing board games and card games!  Looking at our own libraries, we have party games like Apples to Apples, Balderdash, Catchphrase, Codenames, a six-foot tall version of Jenga, Loaded Questions, Outburst, Pictionary, Scattergories, Wits and Wagers, and so on.  If you're into strategy games, Mark is happy to teach Settlers of Catan, Dominion, Love Letter, and so on. We'll figure out what to play as a group.  You don't have to know how to play anything in advance.

Can I bring my own board games?
Absolutely!  PLEASE feel free to bring your favorite(s)!

Is there an admission fee?
No. This event is completely free.

What will I get out of this event?
The GSO is providing pizza as well as soft drinks.  This is just a casual event to have some fun, and meet some other graduate students.

Where is this event located?
This event will be held at Timonium Graduate Center, located at 2034 Greenspring Drive, Lutherville-Timonium, MD. We will be playing in the Room 32 lounge.  To get there, enter the main building, and find the lounge all the way in the back right-hand corner.

How about parking?
Parking at the Timonium Graduate Center is easy to find, and free.

Who is invited?  Can I bring guests to this event?
All graduate students are invited.  And yes, all graduate students are welcome to bring guests (whether or not they are Loyola students).  We would appreciate it if you register yourself and guests so that we know how many to expect.

What time does this event start? Can I arrive late?
This event starts at 5:30 PM. It is okay to arrive late, but guests should know we will probably be cleaning up board games by 7:30 PM.
