Student Activities

Hours and Wages

  • 20 hours per week (including nights and weekends)
  • $13,500 stipend per academic year, which includes payment for up to 6 credits  per semester and remaining amount paid as bi-weekly stipend


  • Bachelors degree required
  • Applicants must be enrolled in a full-time graduate degree program at Loyola University Maryland. 
  • Applicants with previous experience in extracurricular activities, strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and experience working with students are desired.


  • Establish and maintain regular office hours. In addition to office hours, some night and weekend work will be required.

  • Provide assistance to the Assistant Director of Student Activities with the management of the OPTIONS and SuperFans student groups including, but not limited to:
    • Implementation of social programs for both groups
    • Development of leadership skills of students involved in the executive boards of both groups
    • Providing guidance/mentorship to both groups during executive board meetings and social programs
    • Provide assistance to ensure effective marketing for both groups through digital signage, social media, and Loyola Today
    • Create surveys to assess program success and collect data to evaluate program outcomes
    • Assist with recruitment processes for both executive boards
    • Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director which are related to the organization and management of OPTIONS and SuperFans

  • Provide coverage at designated social events throughout the school year, which are assigned by virtue of the nature of events planned by the office of student activities.  Such events include:
    • Family Weekend (first weekend in October)
    • Late Night programs (as scheduled and sponsored)
    • Senior Class Social Events (Countdown events every 50 days throughout the year and Senior Week during the third week of May )
    • Loyolapalooza (end of April)
    • Other events as needed    

  • Provide support to the Office Assistant in the daily operations of the office, such as:
    • Staffing the front desk, answering phones, fielding questions on programs from students and parents, and general customer service

  • Participate in strategic planning of office initiatives and provide assistance in the implementation of assessment methods to measure achievements in meeting the defined learning outcomes at the departmental and divisional level.

  • Work the front desk of Student Activities for 5 hours/week
