$6,000.00/year; Approximately 10 hours/week each semester (fall and spring)
Spring semester hours must include 2 weeknights for 4 hours each and Saturdays from mid-February to mid-April, 10am-6pm.

Qualifications and Responsibilities |
In partnership with The Baltimore CASH Campaign, Loyola University Maryland’s accounting students will offer free federal and Maryland state income tax preparation services to low income individuals and families. A Loyola MAcc student will undergo advanced-level IRS training in the fall, then manage the new Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) on-campus site in the spring. This initiative supports financial health and stability for Baltimore families while also providing a valuable service-learning opportunity for students.
Work schedule arrangements are made between the recipient and the assistantship supervisor. These opportunities are restricted to students enrolled in the Master of Accounting program.
All volunteers must complete the Advanced Volunteer Training Certification administered by the Internal Revenue Service.
