The Department of Recreational Sports is seeking candidates enrolled in a full-time graduate program for the 2017-18 academic year at Loyola University Maryland to join our staff. Graduate Assistant positions will assist in the oversight of 6 areas important in the success of our Department.

Areas of Focus

- Student Development
- Assist the Department in developing and overseeing student all-staff training and development, including all-staff training, Real World Connections, celebrations, social functions, recognition, service and community outreach.
- Serve as the co-chair of the Student Leadership Team
- Manage the department student all-staff hiring process including coordinating information sessions, interview schedules, on-boarding process and collaboration with Human Resources.
- Marketing
- Manage and execute all department requests for marketing including: print materials, digital signage, website updates, and social media
- Oversight and administration of the department’s social media presence (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter).
- Design clear and engaging graphic communications for print and digital marketing utilizing Adobe (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Represent the department at various orientations and information fairs.

Hours & Wages |
- $9,900 for 600 hours (300 hours per semester; approximately 20 hours per week)
- Compensation can be given at 50% scholarship/50% stipend or 60% scholarship/40% stipend
