Position

Graduate Student Assistant

Hours & Wages
|
The GA position will be part-time position, 20 hours per week. The GA will be compensated at an hourly rate of $18 per hour.
|
Required Qualifications
|
- Enrolled as a graduate student at Loyola University Maryland
- Some work experience
- Comfort working with quantitative data and understanding of basic statistical concepts
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Solid written and oral communication skills
- Experience working with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)
- Preferred: Experience working with Tableau, SPSS, or other statistical software package

Responsibilities
|
The graduate assistant provides support to Institutional Research staff in carrying out the data management, reporting, and analytical work of the office. Responsibilities include:
- Assist with required reports for the federal and state government
- Complete surveys for college guides (College Board, US News and World Report, etc.)
- Verifying the accuracy of data in reports, publications, and presentations
- Create tables and charts for reports and presentations
- Helping with the administration of surveys to students, faculty, and staff
- Perform data entry, data mining, and data cleaning
- Assist with ad hoc requests for data
- Other duties as assigned
