Hours & Wages |
Approximately 15 hours per week @$15 per hour (50% stipend, 50% scholarship)
This is a 12-month position beginning summer '20.

Qualifications |
- Applicants must be enrolled as a graduate student at Loyola University Maryland, preferably in Counseling, Education or Emerging Media
- Prior office experience and a strong attention to detail as well as a high level of organization and time management
- Ability to manage several projects at one time
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability and willingness to work with students from diverse cultures, backgrounds, and nationalities while demonstrating an open-mind and sensitivity.
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License preferred
- Demonstrated strong written and verbal skills
- Experience in a variety of social media platforms
- Experience with various software applications, particularly Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience creating handouts and flyers
- Willingness to work some evening and/or weekend hours
- Must be able to work well with others and possess qualities for successful teamwork in the workplace
- Demonstrated ability to work well with diverse populations

Responsibilities |
- Compile and review data for evaluations and surveys
- Provide excellent customer service
- Conduct research and prepare reports for the Director
- Assist in the preparation and production of detailed, error-free and confidential immigration and visa documents
- Assist with maintenance of office databases and files as well as a variety of office tasks
- Update OISS website, social media platforms, and outreach to students
- Help organize and facilitate OISS workshops, trainings and events
- Facilitate off-campus events and trips for students
- Demonstrate cultural sensitivity when communicating with all students
- Create and/or update OISS documents/handouts/flyers
- Support OISS staff with orientations for New International Students
- Collaborate with a variety of departments on- and off-campus
- Maintain a high sense of work ethic, flexibility, responsibility and confidentiality
