- $9,900 for 600 hours (300 hours per semester; approximately 20 hours per week)
- Compensation can be given at 50% scholarship/50% stipend or 60% scholarship/40% stipend

Qualifications
|
Required
- Bachelor’s degree
- Candidates must be enrolled in a full-time graduate degree program at Loyola University Maryland. Graduate programs are listed at: http://www.loyola.edu/graduate.aspx
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Ability to begin work prior to or at the start of the department’s fall training in mid-August
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Knowledge about various college student experiences and challenges
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate students
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and sensitive information
Preferred:
- Supervisory experience
- Experience working with students
- General knowledge in the areas of recreational sports, facility maintenance, building supervision, and risk management

Responsibilities
|
- Assist the Associate Director of Recreational Sports-Programs and Assessment with the daily operations, facilities, maintenance, safety/security and custodial needs of the $21.6 million Fitness and Aquatic Center.
- Assist in managing the student Equipment Room Attendants by attending all staff meetings, coordinating schedules, and serving as a substitute when needed.
- Attend regular meeting with Associate Director and student staff.
- Establish and maintain regular office hours that meets department needs.
- In addition to office hours, night and weekend work will be required.
- Assist with special events for the department.
- Perform additional duties in support of the department and as requested by the primary supervisor or other department administrator or director.
- Maintain current First Aid, CPR, and AED certification for the professional rescuer.

- Must fulfill all responsibilities outlined in this document and in the contract. Failure to meet any of these responsibilities will result in job action.
- Expected to adhere to all University policies. Any violation of University policy shall result in probation or termination of employment.
- The Department of Recreational Sports must approve all extracurricular activities, outside employment, or non-credit internships in writing.
