Student Engagement Programming and Admin Support, OPTIONS and SuperFans - Graduate Assistantship

Hours & Wages
  • 20 hours per week (including nights and weekends)
  • $13,500 stipend per academic year, which includes payment for up to 6 credits per semester andremaining amount paid as bi-weekly stipend
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Applicants must be enrolled in a full-time graduate degree program as Loyola University Maryland
  • Applicants with previous experience in extracurricular activities, strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and experience working with college students are desired
Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain regular office hours. In addition to office hours, some night and weekend work will be required.
  • Provide assistance to the Assistant Director of Student Activities with the management of the OPTIONS and SuperFans student groups including, but not limited to:
    o Planning and execution of fall training
    o Implementation of social programs for both groups
    o Attend weekly executive board meetings
    o Development of leadership skills of students involved in the executive boards of both groups
    o Providing guidance/mentorship to both groups during executive board meetings and social programs
    o Provide assistance to ensure effective marketing for both groups through digital signage, social media, bi-weekly newsletters and Loyola Today
    o Create surveys to assess program success and collect data to evaluate program outcomes
    o Assist with recruitment and selection processes for both executive boards
    o Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director which are related to the organization and management of OPTIONS and SuperFans
  • Provide coverage at designated social events throughout the school year, which are assigned by virtue of the nature of events planned by the office of student activities. Such events include:
    o Family Weekend (last weekend of September)
    o Homecoming (last weekend of October)
    o Late Night, OPTIONS and SuperFans programs (as scheduled and sponsored)
    o Senior Class Social Events (Countdown events every 50 days throughout the year and Senior Week during the third week of May )
    o Loyolapalooza (end of April)
    o Other events as needed
  • Provide support to the office assistants in the daily operations of the office, such as:
    o Staffing the front desk, answering phones, fielding questions on programs from students and parents, and general customer service
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director and Assistant Directors of Student Activities
