Graduate Student Assistant – Graduate Student Services
Spring 2020

Hours & Wages |
$16/hr, 4-6 hours per week (50% stipend, 50% scholarship)

- Strong desire to create a sense of inclusion and belonging among
graduate students
- Excellent interpersonal /communication skills
- Exemplary organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience in marketing, social media, and desktop publishing
desired
- Sense of creativity
- Ability to be self-directed and work independently

Responsibilities |
-
Plan and host events of interest (eg. Social events, service events, local trips) to the graduate student community
- Serve as a leader for the Graduate Student Organization, a student-run organization representing all graduate students at Loyola.
- Assist in publishing graduate student newsletter
- Assist in marketing events to campus community at the Columbia, Evergreen, and Timonium campuses in-person and through digital / social media
- Conduct interest surveys and program evaluations to identify potential programs, and assess completed events
- Collaborate as needed with administrative and academic departments to assist them in providing programs and services for the graduate student community
- Assist in giving occasional brief presentations about graduate student events and services at program orientations
- Other duties as assigned in support of graduate student programs and services
- Some night and weekend work will be required while hosting events
