Hours & Wages

Schedule: One (1) or two (2) academic years. Recipient will work approximately fifteen hours per week each semester, or approximately 240 hours per semester.

Remuneration: $3600 per semester, following a 50% stipend and 50% scholarship model ($1800 will automatically go towards tuition, and $1800 will be provided for a stipend.) This amount is based on 240 hours/semester (15 hours per week for 16 weeks at $15/hour). It may be prorated depending on when the position is filled and how many hours will actually be completed during the semester. Hours can be shared between at home work and the office with departmental approval.

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and enrollment in the M.T.S. program at Loyola University Maryland. Preferences: In-depth knowledge and interest in theological research; Experience with various software applications, particularly the Microsoft Office Suite; Strong organizational, presentation, administrative, and communication skills; Ability to work independently and effectively; Ability to work well with staff and faculty, as well as with members of the Loyola community.
Responsibilities

Each assistant will be given duties based on his or her areas of interest, expertise, and department needs. These include assisting the Director and/or Director of Program Operations in facilitating M.T.S. lectures, workshops, and discussions as needed, and supporting faculty in the pursuit of research and service activities including searching databases, collecting sources, inputting data, and other research-related duties as assigned.
