What is Inside Loyola?

Inside Loyola is the portal for students, faculty, staff, and administration within the Loyola community. It is an online tool that is meant to allow for improved internal communication, streamlined paths to information, and remote access to various resources needed in the day-to-day activities of employees and students alike.

How do I make Inside Loyola my home page?

It is very easy to make Inside Loyola your home page, but the specific steps depend on what browser you are using. No matter what, the first step is to open a window to https://inside.loyola.edu

In Internet Explorer, select the Tools dropdown from your browser menu and click on Internet Options. In the General tab you will see a Home Page section and you can click on the Use Current button. If you are performing this task from any page other than https://inside.loyola.edu, then you can enter the URL into the field provided.

In Firefox, select the Tools dropdown from your browser menu and click on Options. Select the Main tab and either enter the URL into the field provided or click on the Use Current Pages button, if you are currently at the Inside Loyola home page.

What does "insert credentials" mean and why do I have to do it?

The first time you log on to Inside Loyola, you will be prompted to enter your "credentials" for certain Web parts. Your credentials are simply your normal Loyola username and password and entering this information will allow the system to connect with other applications in the Loyola network, feeding you custom information and access. Don't worry, though, as you will only need to do this once and not every time you log back into Inside Loyola.

Where is my department site?

Every department site can be accessed from the portal. You can get to these sites through related links from pages in the navigation, through the search tool in the upper right corner, or by browsing through the full listings found in the "Departments" section.

Who should I contact if I can't find the information I am looking for?
