Loyola University Maryland

Office of Marketing and Communications

MarComm Pound

The office of marketing and communications seeks talented writers, photographers, videographers, graphic designers, and more to be a part of the Loyola MarComm Pound, our student marketing and communications team at Loyola. There is no better way to share, promote, and market the Loyola experience to prospective students, parents, donors, and faculty than with the individuals who best tell Loyola's story: our students!

The Fall 2017 application deadline has passed.

Positions can be crafted to meet the schedules and needs of the students. We are currently hiring the following:

We are looking for student writers to help tell the Loyola story. Writing projects may take the form of interviewing fellow students about a timely event or topic, conducting faculty Q&As, profiling an academic course or program, writing marketing copy about campus life or a reflection about an experience, writing about an event or lecture, and beyond. Topics will be assigned, and pieces may also require submitting photography with your writing (or having a fellow student take pictures!).

If you have a good eye for smartphone photography, know how to use a DLSR camera, or have access to a decent camera, this is a great opportunity to gain experience and create content for the University’s social media, email, and Web channels. Opportunities will range from event photography to portraits and students participating in service, on Messina outings, exploring Baltimore, life in residence halls, and more.

Video Assistants

Interested in video production? We are looking for students to assist in larger-scale video projects while learning basic video skills. From interview setup to post-production, gain field experience and learn the ins and outs of production.

Graphic Design Assistants

We are looking for keen eyes, deft hands, and creative minds to help turn words, images, and ideas into compelling communication. As a graphic design assistant you’ll work with our creative team to design posters, brochures, logos, and other creative projects from start to finish. Learn what it takes to bring ideas to life while building Loyola’s brand through design—and building your design portfolio along the way.

Marketing Assistants

Throughout the year, the office of marketing and communications organizes various events and programs, runs tables at information fairs, conducts focus groups and market research, and organizes off-campus programs in the Baltimore community. This role is ideal for any student looking to add field experience in marketing to a résumé, explore marketing as a potential major or career, or get involved and build his or her network at Loyola through interaction with other students and members of the Loyola and Baltimore communities.
