Stories from Maximum Security: Education with a Difference
Tuesday October 10th
7-7:30pm in the Fourth Floor Programming Room
About the Event:
Loyola faculty and students have for years been teaching and learning in a nearby maximum security men's prison. Panelists will include professors who have taught there, and an ex-prisoner who helped facilitate the program from within. We will tell stories from the heart about the dramatic difference that access to higher education makes for those caught up in our "age of mass incarceration." There will be plenty of time for questions and answers--no holds barred. This panel will be a strong follow-up to the common text, Just Mercy.
