Brendan Gottschall, SJ, is a Jesuit scholastic of the Maryland Province. A native of South Jersey, Brendan met the Jesuits at Georgetown University where he studied economics, graduating in 2012. He entered the Society of Jesus in 2014, and after a two-year novitiate, was missioned to philosophy studies at Fordham University in the Bronx, where he earned an MA in Philosophy. Before coming to Baltimore, Brendan spent half a year working in Beijing at the Beijing Center for Chinese Studies. He is a teacher and campus minister at Loyola Blakefield High School.
