Brock Turnbaugh joined the Loyola University Maryland Department of Recreation and Wellness as a graduate assistant in August of 2018. After playing lacrosse and graduating from Johns Hopkins University with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology in May of 2018, Brock decided to pursue his master’s degree in Clinical Professional Counseling at Loyola. At JHU, he was also a part of the KEEN program, which stands for kids enjoying exercise now, where he played games with children who have disabilities and served as a role model.
To keep busy, Brock has been a coach for a local Baltimore lacrosse club, Crabs, for many years and will be the assistant goalie coach at Loyola Blakefield High School beginning this fall of 2018. He also enjoys being outdoors and hiking new trails. In the future, he hopes to gain more insight into the field of Sports Psychology as he has played football, lacrosse and wrestled almost his entire life.
