Professional Intern for Competitive Sports
Catharyn Watts-Battey joined the Loyola University Maryland Department of Recreation and Wellness in August of 2019 as the Competitive Sports Intern. Catharyn acquired her Bachelor’s Degree from Cornell University studying Nutrition. She played various roles in her campus community, including leading an executive board for a peer mentorship program for women of color, chartering both an association of officiating students and a chapter of Zeta Phi Beta, Incorporated, and maintaining employment in both Intramural Sports and Student Diversity and Development Initiatives.
As the Competitive Sports Intern, Catharyn assists with the organization and administration of Loyola’s Intramural and Club Sports programs. Catharyn loves anything that will keep her active, laughing, and helpful to her local community. Stop by and say hi!
