Max Stutman joined the Loyola University Maryland Department of Recreation and Wellness in August 2019 as the Assistant Director of Operations and Aquatics. Max administers a comprehensive campus aquatics program and oversees the day-to-day operations of the Fitness and Aquatics Center, designed to meet the diverse needs of the Loyola University Maryland community.

Max is originally from Pennsylvania where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training from West Chester University. During his time in college, Max started working in campus recreation his junior year as a recreation attendant and worked up to a graduate assistant of facility operations. After staying at West Chester University to obtain his Master’s Degree in Exercise and Sport Physiology, he started working for The University of Pennsylvania as a Lead Operations Supervisor from June 2018 – August 2019.

Max is a huge Philadelphia sports fan (GO BIRDS!), as well as being passionate for fitness, health and wellness. Often if you do not see Max working, he is getting in a workout or playing a game of ping-pong. For hobbies, Max will watch episodes of “The Office” on repeat as well as take his dog, Bella, for a walk in the park
