2024-2025 Desk Assistants

Desk assistants provide safety, security, and service in their desks’ residence halls area while working with the concerns of an individual or group of students. Desk assistants must have good judgment, strength of character, a strong sense of responsibility, and understand the needs of a diverse group of individuals.

Applicants must:

  • Be current undergraduate students.
  • Have a minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average (GPA) and a minimum 2.5 semester GPA for the most recent semester.
  • Satisfactorily complete and submit the application and all supplementary materials by the stated deadlines.
  • Complete the selection process as requested.
  • Be in good financial and conduct standing with the University.

2024-2025 Desk Coordinators

Desk coordinators oversee desk assistants in their specific area. Each desk coordinator will be responsible for overseeing 1-2 desks. The desks are paired as follows: Butler/ Hammerman, Campion (North and South), Newman (East and West), Thea Bowman (1st and 2nd Floor) and the Hopkins Desk. Desk coordinators lead all scheduling hours and serve as the supervisor for their specific area. Desk coordinators report to the Area Coordinator (AC) for the area they work.

Applicants must:

  • Be current undergraduate students.
  • Have a minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average (GPA) and a minimum 2.5 semester GPA for the most recent semester.
  • Satisfactorily complete and submit the application and all supplementary materials by the stated deadlines.
  • Complete the selection process as requested.
  • Be in good financial and conduct standing with the University.
  • Have previously worked as a desk assistant for at least one semester
