The office of Student Engagement and the department of Recreation and Wellness' Outdoor Adventure Experience present DISCOVERY, week-long outdoor adventure of backpacking, reflection, and camping. DISCOVERY will challenge you to seek your personal direction through experiential learning, discussion, adventure programming, and reflection.
DISCOVERY is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that will show you the power within yourself to conquer all of your fears and achieve your personal goals. Don't just take our word for it. See what students are saying about it below.

Attend the Participant Meeting on APRIL 25th
Trips like this often come with a lot of questions. While we will do our best to answer questions during registration, more details will be provided to participants during this meeting. We'll be giving out useful information about what you'll be doing on DISCOVERY, where you'll be going, what to pack, and how best to prepare for this once-in-a-lifetime experience. You'll also get to spend some quality time with your fellow DISCOVERY participants to get to know them!
Duffel Shuffle: Saturday, May 11th
Participants will gather the day before our departure to prepare gear. This is the time to confirm clothing options, prepare your personal essentials, and get familiar with the equipment to be used throughout the week.
DISCOVERY Trip (May 12 - 17, 2019)
On DISCOVERY, you'll spend the week backpacking, camping, rock climbing, reflecting on your life, and making some great memories with new friends. When you return to campus on the 17th, you'll have had many exciting adventures to tell your friends back home!
