Loyola Facilities is seeking a student sustainability project coordinator. Student sustainability project coordinators work with the program assistant for sustainability to implement initiatives and events on the evergreen campus. A good candidate will have strong leadership and communication skills and is excited about sustainability at Loyola. Some projects that students work on include: helping faculty and staff obtain Green Office Certification; assisting with sustainability outreach, and promoting sustainability using our website, newsletter and social media. Projects will be assigned based on the student’s interests and background.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the implementation of sustainability events with help of Sustainability Office and key campus stakeholders
- Maintain partnerships with departments and students clubs interested in sustainability
- Prepare sustainability communications and perform education and outreach
- Collect and organize data related to energy, water, and waste
Job Requirements:
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Technical skills, e.g. Adobe Suite preferred, but not required
- Interest in sustainability
- Work study eligible
Hours: 10 to 15 hours per week, between 9am – 5pm. 10 hours required. $8.25/hour
