HRIS Phase II

HRIS Phase II project is the second phase of the HRIS Reimplementation project that started in 2014.  The project consists of examining the processes associated with the employee lifecycle, focusing on the onboarding process, and making necessary improvements to those processes.  This includes, but is not limited to, mapping out existing and new processes, implementing PeopleAdmin's Onboard and Records modules into the current PeopleAdmin system, training on the new modules, and integration between the modules and the University's ERP system, Colleague. The Onboard module consists of the various activities from the offer being sent to the new hire's first 30 days.  The Records module focuses on the employee lifecycle.

Project Goals

  • Examine Loyola's onboarding processes for new hire pain points and determine areas of improvement
  • Examine a Loyola employee's life cycle process and determine areas of improvement
  • Implement PeopleAdmin's Onboard module, creating a digitalized onboarding process for new hires
  • Implement PeopleAdmin's Records module, creating an electronic workflow for an employee's lifecycle at Loyola
  • Use PeopleAdmin to configure the backend workflow for onboarding forms
  • New hires are fully set up and able to be productive on their first day
  • Student hires will run through PeopleAdmin

What is the project?

When the project is complete, the new hire onboarding process and employee lifecycle will have improved processes, bringing more efficiency as well as digital functionality with forms and workflows.  There will be clear workflows and accountability on these processes.

Addressing one of the biggest pain points of our focus groups, a new employee will be set up and able to be productive on their first day.

How will training work?

Training details are still being developed in terms of the improved onboarding process, and there will be training opportunities that will occur in July and August.

Student hiring training using the system will be incorporated into a new Student Hiring Managers training.
