There are only a few more school days until spring break. While you should plan to rest and relax during your much-deserved time off, here are three ideas for how you can also use next week to get ahead:
- Review the syllabi for your classes. When you return to campus after spring break, you will want to feel refreshed, not stressed. The best way to do that is to take some time over spring break to plan how you will meet your deadlines during the rest of the semester, especially during your first week back. Aim to review your syllabi and form your plan at the beginning of spring break so that you can check this task off your to-do list and get a head start on your assignments.
- Apply for summer internships and jobs. Summer might seem far away, but many internship and job sites are accepting applications now. Check out The Career Center’s Resources webpage for information about searching and preparing for work opportunities.
- Research graduate school programs. Whether you are a first-year student or a senior, it is never too early or late to think about attending graduate school in the future. If you are considering graduate school for the first time, you might start by looking up a few programs online. If you have already researched some programs, you might try to schedule a couple of visits. Especially because universities have spring break at different times, you might be able to gain more accurate experiences of the campuses than if you visited during the summer.
