Welcome to the Writing Center
The Loyola Writing Center serves undergraduates, grad students, faculty, and staff. We gladly work with writers in any stage of their writing process, and we welcome writing from any discipline or subject matter. Our main offices are on the Evergreen campus in Maryland Hall 057. We also have satellite offices on the Timonium and Columbia campuses. See our Locations & Hours for complete availability.
All Loyola University Writing Centers are currently closed for intercession break. Centers will re-open Monday June 6th for graduate tutoring. At that time our summer schedule will be in effect.
Scheduling An Appointment
Writers may sign up for appointments through our online scheduler, TutorTrac, or request a tutor by emailing us at LWC@loyola.edu. We offer face-to-face appointments for undergraduate and graduate students. In addition, graduate students may make an appointment for online tutoring via Adobe Connect. All graduate students seeking an online appointment must be 'present' during the appointment to engage with the tutor and answer questions. A webcam and microphone are not necessary. The built-in chat function can also provide real-time communication. Read more about online appointments for graduate students.
Please note: The Study, located on the top floor of Jenkins Hall, offers subject-specific tutoring to all enrolled undergraduate students.
