Roads, parking lots, and walkways condition update

Loyola’s facilities staff has cleared most parking spaces, paths, and walkways on Loyola's Evergreen, Timonium, and Columbia campuses. However, major roads near Loyola remain partially plowed and many side streets have yet to be plowed, rendering street parking severely limited.

Use caution while traveling, allow extra time, and wear appropriate clothing and footwear.

Alternate options to street parking near Evergreen

With street parking unavailable around the Evergreen campus, members of the Loyola community who rely on street parking are encouraged to park in one of Loyola’s satellite lots. Those lots are:

  • 5104 York Road (shuttle service until midnight)
  • Cathedral of Mary Our Queen (shuttle service until 10 p.m.)
  • FAC commuter lot (shuttle service until midnight)

**Please allow extra travel time regardless of where you plan to park**

Staff and administrators: Inclement weather policy when Loyola is open

When weather is severe and Loyola is open, some employees may decide it is unsafe to come to work/remain at work. If an employee decides not to come to work or to leave, they must ask their supervisor/department chair for approval. Employees with an approved absence or early departure due to inclement weather may use vacation leave, personal leave, or leave without pay for the absence. For additional information see policy 4.5 through 4.6 of the Staff and Administrator Policy Manual.

Faculty: Inclement weather information

Please review the Maintaining Class During University Closures page on the academic affairs website for information on inclement weather, options for instructional continuity, and guidance from the Faculty Handbook.
