AP Physics C Mechanics Curriculum: Increasing Interest in Engineering

In the last decade participation in the Advanced Placement program has increased by over a million students. More students are finding opportunities to take rigorous classes to prepare for college and even earn college credits in high school. While the amount of participation increases the students taking the Advances Placement Physics with calculus course are ninety-nine percent White and Asian males. This curriculum focuses on introducing college level physics using inquiry to create an inclusive environment to encourage female and minority students to develop an interest in physics.
