Every night at 8 p.m., Light City Baltimore will start with a moment that engages the festival goers in anticipation of a whimsical and exciting night. Starting at the Maryland Science Center and ending at Harbor East, each moment’s procession will travel the BGE Light Art Walk along the inner harbor promenade in style.
Friday, March 31, 2017- Light City Opening Night Creative Alliance Parade
The second Annual Light City Opening Night Creative Alliance Parade kicks off Light City Week. The Creative Alliance magically transforms the BGE Light Art Walk with their lighted floats, marching units, and costumed performers. Don't miss this new Baltimore Tradition, it will surely be a fantastic opening to Light City 2017.

Tuesday, April 4, 2017 -Luminous Connections
Loyola is bringing Light City to campus. Join the Fine Arts students and faculty on April 4, from 7-9 p.m. As they illuminate campus with student-created outdoor video projections on campus buildings, interactive light displays, theatrical light explosions and projected photography installations in the area inside and outside of McManus Theater.
In celebration of the power of connectivity, this exhibition will create a luminous experience by bringing together several creative disciplines. The campus center will be transformed into a glowing display featuring student work from Theater, Photography, and Studio Art. Outdoor video projections on campus buildings, interactive light displays, theatrical light explosions and projected photography installations will fill the area inside and outside of McManus Theater. This exhibition signals the emergence of light from the darkness of winter. Occurring weeks after the vernal equinox, we aim to enliven the campus with an interdisciplinary experience of light in its many forms of expression.

Friday, April 7, 2017 – Kinetic Procession & Bike Glow Rally
Light up your bike! And join a walking parade of city cyclists and pedal powered contraptions as we make our way around the harbor. Following the parade, cyclists are invited to participate in a glowing-group ride to visit some of the Neighborhood Lights locations
