Experience Baltimore

Zen West Balimore Asian Fusion Restaurant

If you’re curious about the city you’ll be calling home for the next four years, join us for the Center for Community, Service, & Justice (CCSJ) pre-fall program, Experience Baltimore. Get to know Baltimore, beyond campus, as we experience unique and colorful neighborhoods that reveal the heart, spirit, and diversity of our city’s residents. Understand how racism shapes Baltimore’s history and the ways that it continues to impact our community today. Build new relationships with your Loyola family and Baltimore neighbors through community-led learning, individual and group reflection, service, and engaging conversations. Learn to critically analyze why things are the way they are and engage with Baltimore residents who are creating change within their own communities. Take a fresh look at this historic, vibrant city!

To learn more about how Experience Baltimore can play a role in inspiring continued learning and exploration of our city, read how former Experience Baltimore participant and peer facilitator, Andrew Boyadjian (’19), continued to understand, learn, and discover a sense of belonging within the city throughout his four years at Loyola (Loyola Magazine and The Baltimore Sun, 2019).
