Language Enhancement and Advancement Program

Looking to strengthen your foreign language skills in French or Spanish? Want to get ahead on your language requirement and free up class time for your major? Make it happen in this fun and immersive refresher course taught by faculty in the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures at Loyola!

L.E.A.P. occurs just before the start of the Fall 2021 semester, which means that you will be able to move into your residence hall early and get a jump start on your college adventure! L.E.A.P. will be hybrid this year, pairing online and in-person instruction with a variety of fun and culturally relevant social events. During the day, we will offer focused language study using technology, one-on-one attention and group work, as well as expert learning strategies to help you learn how to be successful in the core language requirement at Loyola. In the evenings, we will host events such as a virtual cooking class, movie night, invited speaker, dinner at a local ethnic restaurant, and more! The L.E.A.P. refresher courses are designed for students enrolling in introductory Spanish or French classes at Loyola. At the end of the program, students will retake the language placement exam and have an opportunity to place into a higher level of French or Spanish for Fall 2021.

Get ready for travel on the road to language success!
