Strategies for Success

Are you a student with a disability who is worried about your transition to college? Are you wondering what resources are available and where to find them? Strategies for Success is a one-day workshop specifically geared for students with disabilities. Participants will move in on Wednesday, September 1st and attend a casual welcome reception with their families that evening.

On Thursday, September 2nd, participants spend the day with student mentors and staff from Loyola's Disability Support Services office and other campus partners. The workshop includes sessions on time-management, academic goal setting, procedures for using approved accommodations and helpful assistive technology options. Participants receive guidance on communicating with faculty members and the importance of developing self-advocacy skills.

Students with any type of disability (learning, physical, mental health, etc.) may register to attend.
