Transfer Spring Welcome Weekend Schedule

Welcome to Loyola! We are excited to have you join our Loyola community. As transfer students, we know you have some college experience under your belts and have tailored sessions to your needs. Transfer orientation is important for your success at Loyola. Below you will find the framework for your schedule. Students will receive more detailed information when they arrive to campus.

The schedule below is an outline of what you can expect when you arrive to campus. This schedule is subject to change and locations will be provided upon check-in.

January 2020

Sunday, January 12 Student Program
9 a.m. - 12 p.m. Resident Transfer Student Check-In
Residential students will receive keys to their rooms as well as an orientation
packet. Specifics about how/where to check in will be sent to your Loyola email
account the week prior to your arrival.
11:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. Commuter Student Meeting
During this brief meeting, we will cover information on parking as well as offer tips
and hints to succeeding as a commuter student. Commuters will receive their
orientation packet at this time.
12 p.m. - 1 p.m. Welcome Reception for Transfer Students & Families
Students and their families are invited to a casual reception followed by a
brief welcome program.
Complimentary hors d'ouevres will be served
1:15 p.m. - 2 p.m. Meeting with Transfer Evergreen Orientation Leaders
This time will be a chance for transfer students to review the schedule and have
questions answered before a brief tour of the academic quad.
2 p.m. - 4 p.m. Academic and Community Information Sessions
Administrators from the campus community will discuss academic expectations,
campus/community expectations as well as available support services.
4 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. Student Involvement Panel
Student representatives from various campus organizations will talk about life
as a Greyhound as well as how to get involved on campus and the Baltimore Community.
4:30 p.m. - 5 p.m. Technology Overview
Evergreens will guide students through the various forms of technology that are
important to understand as a Loyola student. This interactive session will take
place in a computer lab. Please have your Loyola login credentials handy!
6 p.m.

Mass
For those who would like to attend, join the Loyola community for the
first Mass of the spring semester.

7 p.m. Dinner Off-Campus
Join the Evergreens for a complimentary dinner at a nearby restaurant.
