Govanstowne Farmers' Market

Loyola University Maryland’s York Road Initiative will host the sixth annual Govanstowne Farmers’ Market on Wednesdays from 3 – 7 p.m. between June 1 and Sept. 28, 2016. The market will be located in the parking lot of Loyola's Transportation and Public Safety complex at 5104 York Rd.

Vendors will offer a variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, and baked goods for sale. There will also be a free book exchange.

The Govanstowne Farmers’ Market team has the following recommendations to help patrons get the most out of their market experience:

  • Call your neighbors and friends to let them know about opening day (June 1!)
  • Prep your shopping list.
  • Sift through your old books for the free book exchange.
  • Sign up kids for free summer meals. The market provides free dinner for kids 18 years old and under every week during summer vacation. Meals are first-come first-serve, and can be reserved by emailing
  • If you have one, print your GFM Fresh Shopper Card. For every five visits, shoppers get $5 to spend at the market.

A complete list of vendors and more information about this year’s farmers’ market are available on the Govanstowne Farmers' Market website. Questions from customers, vendors, and prospective vendors should be directed to Marie McSweeney at
