Supporters of Loyola University Maryland who want to receive a tax deduction for the 2017 calendar year can make a gift through Dec. 31, 2017. Although the University is closed from Dec. 22-Jan. 1, advancement staff will be working to receive gifts through the last day of 2017.

Although gifts may be submitted until 11:59 p.m. on Dec. 31, however, they will be dated based on when the donor’s credit card company authorizes the charge. So donors who are hoping for a tax deduction should not wait until the last minute.

All gifts to Loyola University Maryland go directly toward Bright Minds, Bold Hearts, the University’s comprehensive campaign raising $100 million for strategic academic, athletics, and service initiatives. The campaign currently stands at more than $90 million.

To make a gift, visit loyola.edu/give or call 410-617-2296. Gifts are gratefully accepted online, by phone, by mail, by stock transfer, and through mutual funds.

To determine the tax deductibility of gifts, always seek the advice of a professional tax consultant.
