Loyola supports students who peacefully protest gun violence

| By Rita Buettner Jennifer Louden, interim dean of undergraduate admission, released this statement today:

As a Jesuit, Catholic university committed to working toward justice in our world, Loyola University Maryland has long encouraged and challenged its students to advocate for positive change in their communities. Every one of us has a responsibility to work for the greater good and to speak up—through both our words and actions—particularly when our collective voice can build a brighter future.

Loyola will not penalize any student or prospective student for peacefully protesting. We will not rescind an offer of admission to a prospective student who is subjected to a school disciplinary process because of peaceful protest regarding gun violence in schools.
