Christopher Roque, ’19, Lemuel Bourne, ’19, and Aeliana Lomax, ’19, have been selected as Forbes Under 30 Scholars. As part of that recognition, they are attending the Forbes Under 30 Summit in Boston on Sept. 30 – Oct. 3, 2108.

The Under 30 Summit, which is attended by young leaders and entrepreneurs from around the world, started five years ago and features more than 200 speakers.

Roque, a finance major and economics minor from Queens, N.Y., is vice president of the Caribbean Student Association, chief financial officer of the student government association (SGA), a resident advisor, and a Sellinger honors student. He credits Loyola’s Sellinger School of Business and Management with giving him the tools to be an ideal candidate for the conference.

A resident of Mechanicsburg, Pa., Lomax is an international business major and vice president of social affairs for SGA. She is also involved with GreyComm Studios and has developed a passion for journalism, international relations, and media during her time at Loyola.

Bourne, a finance major and student body president from Baltimore, Md., is hoping the summit will help him find a passion he can pursue after graduation.

“As one of three Loyola students to be accepted to the program, I am proud to be able to represent my school at the summit this year. My hope is that we can make connections and be able to open the door for other Loyola students to have the opportunity in the future,” said Bourne.
