Biography

Dr. Rolfe worked in special education for 35 years as a teacher (PreK – 8), learning specialist, district administrator, and adjunct professor.  Dr. Rolfe completed her AMI elementary training at Washington Montessori Institute. Dr. Rolfe has spent the last 10 years as an educational consultant for The Village School in Waldwick, New Jersey, supporting guides in their work with children (ages 18 months – 14 years).  Dr. Rolfe consults with Montessori schools across the US about disabilities and inclusive practices, and I’ve been an instructor at Loyola’s Center for Montessori Education since 2016.

Dr. Montessori wrote:
The task of educators is immense because human progress and world peace are in their hands. These words inspire Dr. Rolfe each summer. I can contribute to a more inclusive and equitable society by preparing adults to better meet the needs of all the children in their education care.
