Transfer Spring Welcome Weekend Schedule

Welcome to Loyola! We are excited to have you join our Loyola community. As transfer students, we know you have some college experience under your belts and have tailored sessions to your needs. Transfer orientation is important for your success at Loyola. Below you will find the framework for your schedule. Students will receive more detailed information when they arrive to campus.

The schedule below is an outline of what will take place when you arrive to campus.

January 15th and January 16th

January 15th Student Program
9 a..m. - Noon Resident Transfer Student Check-In
Transfer students living on campus will receive their keys and student IDs as well as information for the upcoming days.
**Specifics about how/where to check in will be sent to your Loyola email account the week prior to your arrival.
6 p.m. - 7 p.m. Mass in the Chapel
Open to all those who choose to attend. 
7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Dinner Off Campus
The orientation staff will take you off campus for a complimentary dinner.
   
 January 16th
 9 a.m. - Noon MLK, Jr. Day of Service
Join members of the Loyola community for a "day-on" at local elementary schools in our York Road community. Space is

 5 p.m. The 24th Annual Martin Luther King Jr, Convocation
This annual event is open to all Loyola community members. We hope you will join us to hear from this year's keynote, Teju Cole. More information can be found here

*Each new student will receive a mentor who will work with them to transition to Loyola. Students should receive an email from their mentor sometime prior to their arrival to set up an initial meeting.
