Construction Updates

October 2009
The Ridley Athletic Complex nears completion, with the installment of the main field.

September 2009
Work on the fields begins to wrap up, and interior work on the stadium progresses.

July 2009
The stadium gets closer to completion and work on the other fields continue.

June 2009
The turf for the south field has been installed and the exterior walls of the building are nearly complete.

April 2009
The Complex's final steel beam was placed on Tuesday, April 28. To find out more about the celebration, read the athletics story.

February 2009
Construction on the stadium continues. The view from the top offers an incredible view of downtown Baltimore, the Harbor and the Key Bridge.

January 2009
Construction crews continue to assemble the building's steel support beams and they have been pouring concrete for the lower grandstands as weather permits. Work on the south field will continue when the weather improves.

December 2008
Construction crews have paved the parking lot and are continuing work on the grandstands and playing field.

November 2008
Construction crews began assembling the concrete structure and steel beam supports for the lower grandstands. 

October 2008
Construction crews have finished the foundation for the building and have begun pouring the foundation for the lower grandstands. They are also currently working on the gas collection system for the parking lot.

September 2008

Construction crews have begun to pour the building's foundation, and the stormwater pond included in the site's environmental requirements has been completed.
