Student Programmer
General Description
The Johns Hopkins University Whiting School of Engineering for Professionals (EP) is seeking a student programmer to assist the software development team in planning, developing, implementing, testing, and maintaining robust web-based software solutions.
The well-qualified candidate will have a familiarity with object oriented programming (OOP) and Model-View-Controller (MVC) architecture as well as a basic understanding of how the web works.
Duties
Resolving bugs in existing systems
Play an important role in development of a new Faculty Database and Reporting tool
Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications
Basic understanding of how the web works
Understanding of Object Oriented Programming (OOP) and Model-View-Controller (MVC) architecture
Experience in PHP preferred, experience in a similar language acceptable (e.g. C, C++, Java, Python, Ruby, Javascript)
Familiarity with HTML, HTML5, XHTML, CSS, and SQLDrupal configuration and module development experience a plus but not required
