The 2013 U.S. News and World Report “Best College” rankings are out, and we are pleased that Loyola University Maryland's engineering program is again listed among the top 50 programs with a primary focus on undergraduate engineering education.

Based on peer assessments, the ranking reflects what Loyola engineering students and faculty members have known for a long time—that the engineering program at Loyola offers a rare, hands-on experience students would be hard-pressed to find elsewhere, particularly at the large universities most often associated with top-notch engineering programs.

Our four-year undergraduate program combines the university’s exceptional liberal arts resources with robust coverage of both traditional and emerging areas of engineering to produce graduates who are ready to excel in today’s diverse and rapidly changing environment. Students receive broad-based instruction in engineering fundamentals, while also choosing to specialize in one of four concentration areas: computer engineering, electrical engineering, materials engineering or mechanical engineering.
