Giuliana Caranante, '15, a Writing-Psychology double major, was one of four 2014 Kolvenbach Summer Research Grant recipients. Loyola established the Kolvenbach Summer Research Grant "to foster and encourage research that strengthens the work of non-profit organizations and agencies working in Baltimore" (Kolvenbach Programs). On Thursday, November 6, 2014, Giuliana presented her work with the York Road Literacy and Employment Initiative during the annual Kolvenbach Luncheon:

Loyola writing class and the Arc Baltimore team up for an enlightening film festival!

Last year, writing students composed entertaining multimedia presentations and professional portfolios to highlight their work. Check it out!

WR100, Effective Writing Messina Seminar students created a video and a Prezi about their experiences at Loyola through the "Stories we Tell" theme.

WR305, Writing for the Web students created their online portfolios:

students created a video, Greyhounds Go Green, to promote sustainability at Loyola.

This summer, two writing students are interning in Baltimore. Peter Hadjokas (Writing) has an intern position at the Episcopal Cathedral of the Incarnation working on web writing and social media projects. Giuliana Caranante (Psychology-Writing) has an intern position at DoublePositive marketing working on information architecture, usability, and technical writing.

Leah Rosenzweig published a version of her Senior Seminar paper from 2013 in The Hipster Conservative

Brendan Dyal and Anthony Landi and Aaron Pinto are staff writers for Manik Music

Jenn Ladd has been Film Editor for City Paper, and did the recent cover story on the closing of Video Americain.

Thomas Johnson graduated from Catholic University with an M.A. in English.
