Mary Velazquez '23 awarded Fullbright Scholarship

Undergraduate senior Mary Velazquez was recently selected as the recipient of the 2023-2024 Fulbright scholarship to earn a Master of Arts in Creative Writing at Manchester Metropolitan University in the UK.

Lisa Zimmerelli publishes essay in "Feminist Circulations"

Lisa Zimmerelli's essay, "When They Were Boys and When They Were Girls: Constructions of Gender in Progressive-Era American Conduct Biography" was recently published in the volume, Feminist Circulations: Rhetorical Explorations across History and Geography (2021), edited by Jessica Enoch, Danielle Griffin, and Karen Nelson.

Kaitlin Quigley '22 Receives Research Funding from the Center for the Humanities

Kaitlin Quigley, the 2021-22 Writing Center Research Fellow, recently received funding for her project, “A Longitudinal Approach to Undergraduate Writers and the Impact of Self-Efficacy,” from the Center for the Humanities. The grant will fund stipends for the participants of the study, which aims to be underway by mid-October. Read more ...

The Writing Department’s Travel Writing Course

Travel Writing (WR355) is an online course open exclusively to students who are studying abroad. The goal of this class is for students to learn different forms of travel writing, while also delving into the history, culture, and traditions of their host country and city.
